I'm cooking for a cause - help me make a difference

I spend a lot of time working in the city, and the need is clearly evident; every day you can feel how tough it is for so many people right on our doorstep. That’s why, on 8 June, I’ll be joining senior business leaders and top chefs at the NZ International Convention Centre for Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai’s Cook Off. For one night, we’ll come together to cook a delicious four-course meal for over 200 Mission guests – people experiencing homelessness or facing a daily struggle to put food on the table. I’m very proud to be part of this, but I can’t do it without you.

Every single week, more than 1,600 warm and nutritious meals are served at Haeata, the Mission’s community dining room, to people living on the streets or in accommodation without the ability to cook. This winter, my fellow participants and I are aiming to raise enough to provide over 25,000 meals at Haeata. Together, our collective goal for the Cook Off is an ambitious $400,000.
