Help Me Make a Difference
On 16th June I’ll be joining senior business leaders and top chefs at St Matthew in the City for The Cook Off. I am passionate about this cause because I believe in the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together,
For one night, we will come together to cook a delicious three-course meal for 150 Auckland City Mission guests, many of whom are experiencing homelessness or face a daily struggle to put food on the table. It is more than just a meal; it’s about hope and a sense of community for those who need it most.
Can you help me whisk up hope, one dish at a time to make an even bigger impact? My goal is to fundraise $20,000 to support this important mahi. The more I raise the more people we can help. IAG will match my fundraising efforts by 50% (capped at $10,000).
Did you know? EVERY SINGLE WEEK, over 1,600 warm and nutritious meals are served in Haeata, the Mission’s community dining room, to people who are living on the streets or in substandard accommodation without any ability to cook.
What is alarming is that as winter approaches, many people living on the streets will bear the brunt of the cold, wet and miserable weather, but Haeata will continue to be a safe, dry space offering meals and connecting people to essential Missions support.
My fellow participants and I are aiming to raise enough funds to provide 15,625 meals this winter.
